Privacy Policy
CAPI CFB Rankings ("CAPI," "we," "us") runs the website at capicfb.com. We built it to share college football rankings, predictions and games, not to collect information about you. This policy explains the little information involved in visiting the site.
Information We Collect
We don't offer accounts, sign ups, comments or forms, and we don't ask for your name, email or any other personal information. If you email us, we'll receive your email address and message and use them only to respond.
Information Stored on Your Device
Daily Trivia saves your answers, streak and stats in your own browser's local storage so your streak survives from day to day. That information stays on your device. It is never sent to us, and you can erase it anytime by clearing your browser's site data.
Daily Trivia Community Stats
When you answer the daily question, the site sends an anonymous result to our trivia service so everyone can see what percent of players got it right and the longest active streak. That result contains only the date, whether you were right, your streak length, and a random ID your browser creates. It does not include your name, email or IP address.
Visitor Statistics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they use. It is designed for privacy: it doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across other websites, and doesn't build a profile of you. It reports totals such as pages viewed, the site that referred a visit, country, and general browser and device type.
Services That Help Run the Site
Like every website, ours relies on a few providers whose systems your browser connects to when you visit:
- GitHub Pages hosts the site. GitHub may record technical information such as IP addresses in its server logs for security and reliability.
- Cloudflare provides visitor statistics and our live scores service, which may involve standard technical logs.
- Google Fonts delivers the site's typefaces, so your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address.
- Open data sources supply football statistics and weather. We request that data from our own systems; your visits send them nothing.
Each provider handles information under its own privacy policy.
What We Don't Do
We don't sell, rent or trade personal information. We don't show advertising, use advertising trackers, or share visitor information with sportsbooks or anyone else for marketing.
Children
The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If we change how the site handles information, we'll update this page and its effective date.
